As I go through these food glow up challenges, I realized that patience and care can elevate any dish. This is true with this royal court tteokbokki. The ingredients are simple but by taking extra care with each element right from the very start, it becomes clear why this was part of the Korean royal court cuisine.
Initially, I was not a fan of rice cakes. But now, I can't get enough of its chewy texture, which is somewhat akin to cheese curds or gnocchi. The best part is that it soaks up all the flavour in from the stir fry, making it all the more savoury!
